Sound Technology at Open-Air Events: PA Setups & Levels

This study is a collaboration between the Audio Communication Department at TU Berlin and RAUMSONDE BERLIN,
conducted as part of a master’s thesis. The goal is to develop a free Open-Source tool for

simplified planning and registration of open-air events, including noise prediction.

The questions address the PA systems you use, your event formats, and the importance of noise protection.

This is a scientific online survey conducted by the Audio Communication Department at the Technical University of Berlin.

 


By clicking the checkbox, you declare in a legally binding manner that you have read and understood the preceding text about the procedure of this online survey and the study objectives, that you would like to take part in it, and that you consent to the storage, scientific analysis and anonymized publication of all data collected in the survey and the research results derived from it.

If you are taking this survey as part of the AKT study programm, you also declare to agree that we may additionally store your matriculation number temporarily until the end of the field phase, then remove it from the analysis data set and transmit it to the FG Audiokommunikation to credit the test time before the actual evaluation of the study begins.

You can revoke this consent at any time up to the publication of the results of this study (at least 8 weeks from today) without stating reasons by emailing sekretariat@ak.tu-berlin.de, quoting the name of the study (see highlighted in red above) and your personal participant ID assigned at the end of this survey. Furthermore, you have the right to request, at any time and in the same way, the transmission of the information stored about you to you or to third parties and information about the type of data processing steps carried out with it.

In the following, we will also inform you about the type, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data that is necessarily collected during this online survey due to the use of an internet browser. With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, you as a user and data subject also have the right to information as to whether data concerning you is being processed, to information about the processed data, to further information about the data processing and to copies of the data, to correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data, to the immediate deletion of data concerning you, to receive the data concerning you and provided by you and to transmit this data to other providers/controllers, as well as to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

Server data: For technical reasons, data is transmitted to us or to our web space provider by your internet browser. These so-called server log files are used, among other things, to collect the date and time of the respective access as well as the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is accessed. The data collected in this way is temporarily stored, but not together with other data about you. This storage is carried out on the legal basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR.
